The Water Taxi is the way to get from point A to B in Fort Lauderdale. Stop #2 on the Intracoastal Waterway will take you to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. The entrance fee is $2 per person if you’re on foot. Once in the park, I suggest you find your way to MCruz Rentals to rent a bike.  http://www.mcruzrentals.com/ They have Segways as well.
